All Nite Long...
All-Niters!
Since the exams are coming up;
And a lot of people will be putting in all-nighters! ;-)
But if it gets to you:
As Lionel Richie says;
"Work needs to be done, All Nite Long..."
Something to get you on your feet again!

Who Am I?
Who Am I?
Will Young
Sometimes you know you push me so hard
I don't know how I feel
You almost make me doubt I feel at all
It's not as though I always listen
But there's just so much I don't hear
Maybe I'll never be what you want
I know that all you're asking for
Is a little place in my heart
But I don't find it easy to give
Maybe I get a little selfish sometimes
Why shouldn't I?
I used to say I love you
But would it make a difference this time?
I always find a reason why I didn't put you first
It's not that complicated I know
I really hate it when you shake your head like this ain't gonna work
Maybe I'll never reap what you sow
And who am I to tell you that I would never let you down
That no-one else could love you half as much as I do now
And who am I to tell you I'll always catch you when you fall
Well I, I wouldn't be myself at all,
I wouldn't be myself at all...
I am sorry.
And I will understand if things can never be the same again.
I just wish I had said all the right things before I said the wrong ones.
But, its never too late to say what's true. And if I didn't;
I wouldn't be myself at all...

Right-Click: Empty Recycle Bin
Spring Cleaning: Life is Small
Spring is here. New season. New reason.
I have decided to cleanse my life of all the riff-raff I have collected on the way.
Life is not short. It's small.
So why clutter it with;
Unhealthy relationships,
Unnecessary drama &
Unused possessions.
All the good things in life are free.
I say;
Today...
Right-Click on your Life's Recycle Bin and click on "Empty"...
Your life will be much faster, enjoyable and efficient!
Guaranteed! ;-)
Mathematical proof of Keeping Your Life Small!
Life is small:
Life = Small
Good things come in small sizes:
Small = Good. So;
Life is good:
Life = Good. (Proof #1)
Also;
All the good things in life are free:
Good = Free.
Hence;
Life = Free! (Proof #2)
So, by keeping your life small...
You Can Free Yourself Today! :-)

Umran's Birthday!
Royal Albert Hall: Islamic Relief Concert
An Evening of Inspiration
We are so blessed. The only way to find that little fact out is to recognize, care for and shelter the ones who are not. Got the chance to go to the Islamic Relief's Annual Evening of Inspiration which is a charity event for all the orphans around the world.
The performer included the energetic Native Dean & the enigmatic Sami Yusuf...
It was exhuberant, lively and touching.
Just like life.
Live a little. Donate a little.

I Heart Cardiff
Everything Welsh is Beautiful
My summer fling with London continues...
But like any wonderful concubine; You have to leave her to find out how much you miss her!
So,
I did. I went to Cardiff...
The sounds, scents & sights; Including Catherine Zeta-Jones! :-)
Got a lucky ride-along-trip with my sis, bro-n-law and my nephew to Cardiff, Wales. I fell in love with the city almost instantly. The intricate blend of the natural & synthetic, the historic & contemporary, the practicality & design; how could I not love it!
I think if I was made into a European City; I would be Cardiff...
Lively, Small & Bilingual!
The trip consisted of;
Venus Fly Traps, Picassos, Dinosaurs, Universities, Nightlife, Skylights and a lot of lovely memories... :)

Ammad's Birthday Dinner: Tayyab's
Scrumptious. Super. Duper. Dinner.
Had an delictably delicious time at Tayyabs's, the premier Indian/Pakistani food place in East London. I absolutely had no idea that such a gem of a restuarant would be perfectly tucked away in the heart of the city.
Not only the food is fantastic, this place is a major celebrity magnet! The walls are filled with personalized & signed autographs by Cher, Robbie Williams, Sade, Tina Turner etc. who have been through here. If the line of Ferraris outside the door indicate anything, this is definitely "The-place-to-be"...
Hey! If its good enough for them, it surely is good enough for me! ;-)
Thanks so much Ammad for the great night out...
Luv u loads Cheeku! :-)

Summer Fling: @ Balans, Soho
A Cozy Night @ Balans
A hereby announce that my summer-fling with London has officially started.
A little less conversation, and a lot more action!
We kicked off the night at Balans, a cozy little resturant nestled in the heart of Soho.
"Balans soho is on old compton street, the thriving vibrant centre of London's club and
theatre land. It has become a mecca for visitors from around the world. service
is relaxed and informal in keeping with the simple reasonably priced food. with large
windows over-looking the street, there are tables and chairs outside on the pavement,
which due to its position in the heart of soho makes balans one of the most popular
venues for those who want to be seen."
A good start to a great season to come! :-)

The Inevitable Question
Are You In A Relationship?
Urmm…
Uhh…
Hmmm…
Hey!
Wait a minute…
Of course I am in a relationship!
I am in a relationship with my family, my friends, my colleagues and my cat!
Since when did the word relationship become a copyrighted by couples only. Such degradation of a word that is so holy, sincere and true.
A relationship?
From what I see, it’s a self-consumption into what another wants, feels or needs…
Day after day, pondering over things nobody could ever comprehend.
Are you in a relationship?
Think about it;
As they say;
Poor is a man whose pleasures depends on the permission of another.
Next time if someone asks me that question, I know what I am going to say:
No.
I am not in a relationship.
I am in love.
Are you?

Home vs. World
I have been in transit for too long.
Was just going through some old pictures and found this one.
I am pretty certain its Dubai Airport on my route to The US from Pakistan.
I think Usman took this picture.
It's amazing how many transit/travel pictures I have. I have traveled, traveled and traveled some more. I have scoured continents and commitments. I have lost baggage, both physical and emotional during my flights of freedom and fantasy. I have lived so much life in almost quarter of a century that sometimes I think I might use it all up! :-)
No, I am not being morbid.
I'm just being thankful.
It almost seems like a journey of about 25 years!
It might be time to go back home...
Home vs. World?
I wonder if I can afford the opportunity cost to go home?
I don't think even EasyJet has figured out that cost-effective route ;-)
Because when I click Home on their website, it takes me back to where I started from.
Is Home really where we all start from?
Or is it where we end up?

Abbas Ali Khan: Yaarian (Cover)
Abbas Bhai has done it yet again!
Download and listen this Vital Sign cover of Yaarian!
I love how Abbas Ali Khan is experimenting with his voice, not just as a voice, but more of as an instrument in the latter half of the song.
New Vibe. Old Gold.
